“I was disillusioned after Siren didn't go over. I thought if that is the record business, I don’t want to know about it… I did those songs in three hours in a studio at Wimbledon. I went there with my wife and manager Clive Selwood. The thing with that album is that I did it totally my way. After I heard what I’d recorded, I wasn’t at all sure I should put it out. But John Peel put his foot down and said 'release it'.”

Kevin Coyne, 1978

"‘Case History’ is a very dark, difficult but ultimately sublime album, full of originality. It’s among my finest associations, I’m as proud of that album as anything I’ve been involved with.”

Clive Selwood, 2013

Originally released in 1972 by John Peel’s Dandelion Records, ‘Case History’ was Kevin’s solo debut album. Briefly available as Dandelion’s final release, it has been unavailable on CD for some time.

Now fully re-mastered from the original tapes and featuring nine bonus tracks, it includes a previously unreleased version of ‘My Message To The People’, along with a 16-page booklet that includes an interview with Kevin’s former manager Clive Selwood recorded specially for this release, rare photos and artwork, and extensive quotes from Kevin himself.
